Elie Schulman
Elie Schulman is a teacher, group facilitator, writer, and founder of Cohort Learning Labs. His writing grows out of nearly two decades of training in group process, sustained engagement with Jewish thought and emerging technology, and close work with family and inheritance conflicts. Across these fields, he studies how language, hidden assumptions, and relational patterns shape what people perceive as possible. He lives with his family in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel.
His work examines how people think and learn together — especially when familiar roles, inherited language, or rapid technological change make adaptation difficult. He is particularly interested in problems that return after intelligent people have already tried to solve them. Repetition is not merely proof that the last solution failed. It may reveal something about how a group distributes authority, protects identity, manages uncertainty, or prevents itself from learning what it does not yet know.
Through Cohort Learning Labs, he works with businesses, professional teams, organizations, families, and group leaders. His writing explores related questions through Jewish texts, translation, intellectual history, law, and the changing meaning of intelligence.

The writing on this site is organized by a relational taxonomy — a map that moves from the inner life of a person, through marriage and family, into teaching and community. Each section is a relationship that the writing examines. A separate Maimonides Library gathers books, manuscripts, twenty-two ebook volumes, and standalone essays organized specifically around Rambam's words.
